Abstract:
The effect of seawater soakage will increase the salt content of undersea strata and affect the mechanical properties of frozen soil curtain. To acquire the physical and mechanical parameters of frozen soil of saltbearing strata, some tests are made on the intact saltbearing soil samples collected from undersea tunnel of Haicangdadao StationDongdulu Station section in Xiamen and remoulded soil samples, and the uniaxial compressive strength of frozen soils are gained. The test results show that: 1) The properties of remoulded soil samples and that of intact soil samples are almost the same. The stressstrain curves and strength of remoulded soil samples and that of intact soil samples are almost the same. 2) The sandy soil has large strength and elastic modulus, and the cohesive soil has small uniaxial compressive strength and shows obvious peak value.
Key words: saltbearing strata, artificial frozen soil, physical and mechanical properties, uniaxial compressive strength
