Abstract:

The highpressured inflatable rubber airbag, a new kind of sealing material, has been applied to shield tunneling. The sealing principle, properties, structural characteristics, selection and design and installation process of highpressured inflatable rubber airbag are introduced and analyzed. The analytical results show that the tunnel entrance/exit and shield shell can be effectively sealed by highpressured inflatable rubber airbag, and compared to traditional materials, the highpressured inflatable rubber airbag is more rational and functional.
