Targeted Optimization Design and Application of Slurry Shield Circulation System in Fullsection Pebble Formation

Abstract: The blockage and drainage problem often occur to slurry shield circulation system when tunneling in fullsection pebble formation. As a result, a design solution of parallel quarrying box is studied and proposed for slurry shield crossing Luohe River in fullsection pebble formation of Bowuguan StationJiuduxilu Station on Luoyang Metro Line 2. The application research of common parallel quarrying box, series quarrying box, new type of grille roller quarrying box and straight pipeline selffalling bypass quarrying are carried out successively, and industrial tests are also carried out to improve the quarrying mode. The results show that: (1) The straight pipeline selffalling bypass quarrying scheme can solve the pipeline blockage and drainage problem when the slurry shield tunneling in the stratum with high pebble content and large pebble diameter, thus greatly improve the tunneling efficiency. (2) The new type of grille roller quarrying box can solve the problem of drum lag. (3) For the newly manufactured shield, it is suggested to adopt the optimized new grille roller quarrying box scheme, which would be more efficient theoretically.
