Abstract: In order to study the configuration of return lines in different stations to meet the return capacity and function, and reduce the scale and cost of the station, the return interval and applicable conditions of the return ahead of and behind the station are analyzed by taking Yinsanjiao North Station on Nanchang Metro Line No. 3 for example. And then the recommended wiring types under different conditions are obtained. For the permanent starting and terminal stations of the line, the return ahead of station is recommended considering cost and station scale reduction and return capacity improvement; for the temporary starting and terminal stations of the line, the longterm extension line length, station type, yard location and the whole line wiring should be considered; and for the intermediate stations, the function of single crossover is generally set for temporary return, or double parking return line together with the parking line is set.
