Engineering Geological Study on Route Selection of TongmaiLulang Section of SichuanTibet Railway

Abstract: To identify the engineering geological problems of the TongmaiLulang section of SichuanTibet railway, and reasonably choose the route, the engineering geological study is conducted on route selection of the TongmaiLulang section tunnel based on remote sensing interpretation and regional geological data, field investigation, geophysical exploration, drilling, insitu stress testing, and petrological experiments, and high crustal stress, high geothermal activities, and hydrogeological problems of the Yarlung Zangbo suture zone. Additionally, the principle of engineering geological route selection in this section is proposed. The comprehensive analysis shows that the CK scheme of Parlung Zangbo north bank is superior to the C1K scheme of twospan suture zone in terms of regional stability, insitu stress, and ground temperature.
