Abstract:
The current situation of global trenchless equipment technologies for pipeline renewal are investigated, and three trenchless equipment technologies for pipeline renewal, i.e., pipe breaking and squeezing method, pipe breaking and jacking method, and hollowcutterhead method, are introduced. Then the working principle and applicability of the technologies are presented, the characteristics and advantages of the technologies are analyzed, and the applications of the equipment technologies in practical engineering are listed. The results reveal that the trenchless equipment technology of pipe jacking method and the hollowcutterhead method integrate cutterhead cutting and excavation device, pressure balance system, and protection system, which can guarantee the smooth pipeline renewal without obvious disturbance to the ground and has a larger adaptation range of the expanded pipe diameter, meeting the actual demand of the prosperous urban areas in the future, and representing the development direction of pipeline renewal equipment technology in the future.
