Some Thoughts on Development of Drilling-and-Blasting Construction Technology For Mountain Tunnels in China

Abstract: To further improve the construction level of drillingandblasting method for long tunnels in Chinas plateau areas, the current situation of drillingandblasting construction technology in Chinas mountain tunnels is present, and advance geological prediction, mechanized construction, application of new energy electric equipment, assembly construction, intelligent construction, carbon emission, and efficient construction management are introduced. In addition, the important development directions of carbon emission, construction technology in Chinas mountain tunnel are proposed. Following conclusions are drawn: (1) The research and application of ultralong horizontal drilling in advance geological prediction of tunnel should be paid attention to. The research on multisource geological information acquisition technology and intelligent fusion interpretation should be conducted to improve the target acquisition level and prediction accuracy of tunnel advance geological information. (2) It is necessary to further improve and refine the relevant standards and industrial specifications for largescale mechanized supporting construction of tunnels, conquer the core technology of largescale tooling, and realize the development and application of some key process equipment. (3) For the new energy electric engineering equipment, it is necessary to further improve its battery energy storage capacity and realize the intelligent rapid battery replacement technology in the tunnel. (4) It need to strengthen the research on specialized lining assembly equipment and related construction organizations that are limited to uninterrupted traffic in narrow tunnel spaces, it is an important way to achieve the assembly of tunnel lining using drilling and blasting methods. (5) The realization stage of intelligent tunnel construction includes: intelligent equipment and intelligent construction. (6) The theoretical research and practical application of carbon emissions during tunnel construction should be strengthened. (7) The realization of efficient construction management needs to further promote and improve the design and construction general contracting mode. The construction unit should fully leverage the autonomy and flexibility of the design and construction units in dealing with the complex and everchanging environment of tunnel construction. Construction companies should strengthen the resource orientation and allocation in the key path and key chain of tunnel constructionand improve the level of grassroots management.
