Abstract:

Owing to the serious accidents occurred frequently in China, the author introduced "The Joint Code of Practice For Risk Management of Tunnel Works in the UK"prepared jointly by The British Tunnelling Society and The Association of British Insurers.This code of practice may be useful to the clients, designers and contractors as well as the insurers for tunnel projects in China.
