Abstract:

The article gives a detailed analysis on the initial poor excavation construction of the inclined shaft of Dabieshan tunnel on Hefei～Wuhan passengerdedicated railway. On basis of the existing problems, the article recommends some countermeasures, which result in higher advance rate, reduced cycle time, minimum overbreak/shortbreak, decreased construction period and reduced cost.
