Abstract:
Taking the construction of a largespan urban traffic tunnel as example, for which single side drift method is adopted, the paper studies on the effects of different crosssection shapes and dimensions of side drifts on the ground surface subsidence, crown settlement, invert heaving and forces undertaken by the reinforcement structures by means of 2D elasticplastic finite element numerical simulations, which can provide basis for the design and construction of similar tunnels in the future.
