Abstract:

Liuyanghe tunnel is designed to be constructed by milling excavation method, therefore milling excavation trials are made in some tunnels in XXTJ Ⅱ bid section of Wuhan～Guangzhou passengerdedicated railway. In the paper, the milling excavation technology and equipment are presented, the efficiency and cost of the milling excavation of tunnels under different geological conditions are summarized and analyzed and the application scope of the milling excavation method is established. The paper can provide reference for the excavation of Liuyanghe tunnel and other similar tunnels in the future.
