Abstract:
The bottom floor of a foundation pit of Shengyang Metro works is 8.6m deep. The foundation pit is constructed by opencut method and reinforced by piles in row and steel supports. The piles in row consist of bored piles with 800mm diameter and 1200mm spacing and the steel supports consist of steel pipes with 609mm diameter. Top beams are installed on the top of the bored piles to connect them into an integral structure. In the paper, the installation of the steel supports is described and the monitoring and analysis of the axial forces of the steel supports are presented.
