Abstract:
Differential settlement is subject to occur to the highrise buildings with friction pile foundations, which are easily affected by the tunnel excavation activities. The underground tunnel of Xiaobei station on line 5 of Guangzhou Metro passes close to the existing friction piles and the geological condition of the Metro station is complex, therefore there exist great difficulties in the construction of the underground tunnel. On basis of the successful case history, the paper presents the construction technology for the underground tunnel of the Metro station that passes close to the highrise buildings with friction pile foundations.
