Case Study on Construction Joint Waterproofing
Methods of Beijing Metro Works

Abstract:

The construction joint Waterproofing methods of Metro works that are at present in use are described and compared in detail. The advantages and disadvantages of the Waterproofing methods are analyzed in terms of Waterproofing construction and Waterproofing effect. Three construction joint Waterproofing methods, i.e., Waterproofing by means of double expandable caulking glues and grouting pipes, Waterproofing by means of steeledged rubber water stripes and Waterproofing by means of prefabricated expandable rubber water stops, are presented. The material performances, installation methods, Waterproofing principles and application scopes of the mentioned three Waterproofing methods are described in the paper.
