Abstract:

Major issues that should be taken into account during the design of bearings are expatiated. Proper types of bearings for cutters are determined in accordance with the special working conditions of the bearings for the cutters of TBM. The design, material and manufacturing process of the bearings of cutters are expounded. Countermeasures are proposed on basis of the cause analysis on the damages of the bearings of cutters.
