Abstract:

In order to meet the requirements of the repeated use of various information data sources in the management of railway works, an Excelbased summary program is developed by utilizing the functions of Microsoft Excel. The technical scheme for the data source sharing in the information management and material management of the railway works is discussed. For the sake of the developed program, not only the accuracy of the data analysis and calculation is guaranteed, but also the management persons can be provided with enough time and energy to analyze the accuracy, correctness and rationality of the summary tables so as to improve the management quality and management efficiency. Furthermore, some recommendations are made on the extensive spreading of the application of Microsoft Excel VBA in the railway project management.
