Abstract:
The water-bearing sand strata section from DK355+494 to DK355+517 of Xingwangmao tunnel has been successfully consolidated by horizontal jet grouting piles. The construction technology and construction method of consolidating sand strata by horizontal jet grouting piles are presented in the paper. The manpower and machinery needed for the construction of horizontal jet grouting piles, as well as the prevention and treatment of drilling rod blocking, broken piles and short piles, are provided. Proper horizontal jet grouting parameters are proposed on basis of in-situ statistics. In the end, satisfactory consolidation strength, shortened construction period and saved construction cost have been achieved.
