Study and Application of Grouting Reinforcement Technology in
Coping with F11 Fault of Qiyueshan Tunnel

Abstract:

In order to cope with F11 fault of Qiyueshan tunnel, freezing method and fullface curtain grouting method can be used. Unfortunately, both of the two methods have the disadvantage of long reinforcement period. The earlier tunnelingthrough of Qiyueshan tunnel, which is one of the control works of YichangWanzhou Railway, means that YichangWanzhou Railway can be put into operation earlier. Thus, the reinforcement period is one of the most important indexes in the selection of the proper reinforcement method. The original "column shape reinforcement mode" of curtain grouting is optimized into "bucket shape reinforcement mode". Due to the continuous technological optimization, the grouting mode aimed at sealing large fissure water and reinforcing the rock mass are developed and the reinforcement period is shortened.
