Experimental Study on Construction Technology of Flameretardant
Warmmix Asphalt Pavement in Tunnels

Abstract:

The feasibility of preparing flameretardant warmmix asphalt and flameretardant warmmix asphalt mixture by adding FRMAXTM flame retardant agent and EC120 warm mix agent is studied. The test results indicate that the pavement performance and flame resistance of the flameretardant warmmix asphalt mixture prepared by dry mixing of the flame retardant agent and warm mix agent are improved and the mixing temperature of the mixture is dramatically descended. With significant virtues in energy saving, emission reducing and construction environment improving, the flameretardant warmmix asphalt mixture will be widely used in tunnel pavements in the future.
