Abstract:
The feasibility of preparing flameretardant warmmix asphalt and flameretardant warmmix asphalt mixture by adding FRMAXTM flame retardant agent and EC120 warm mix agent is studied. The test results indicate that the pavement performance and flame resistance of the flameretardant warmmix asphalt mixture prepared by dry mixing of the flame retardant agent and warm mix agent are improved and the mixing temperature of the mixture is dramatically descended. With significant virtues in energy saving, emission reducing and construction environment improving, the flameretardant warmmix asphalt mixture will be widely used in tunnel pavements in the future.
