Abstract:

A transformer plant of a substation of a Metro station in Tianjin is studied in this paper. Four different air distribution modes are designed by changing the positions of the air inlet and outlet ports. The air distribution in the transformer plant is simulated by CFD technology. The influence of the air distribution modes on the heat transfer in the transformer plant is discussed. Key points to which attention should be paid in the design of the air distribution in the transformer plant are listed on basis of analysis on the flow field and temperature field and proper air distribution modes are recommended. The paper can be served as guidance for similar projects in the future.
