Abstract:
In order to fulfill rapid and continuous construction of tunnels in hard rock mass, the situations of caveins in Houyuntaishan tunnel on harbor highway in Lianyungang is analyzed, the types of caveins in tunnels in hard rock mass is discussed and structure plane stability control methods and major causes for the caveins are presented. Conclusion is drawn that caveins in tunnels in hard rack mass can be predicted and can be minimized by adopting structural plane stability control methods, advance geology forecasting methods and effective rock mass reinforcement.
