Abstract:
The existing formworks for invert casting have such disadvantages as high weight, difficult installation, complex invert construction procedure, difficult in onetime casting of the invert and the side wall foundation and high investment cost. Taking the construction of the exit section of Xiamao tunnel on XiangtangPutian Railway as an example, the author has developed a new arcshaped composite steel formwork after detailed studies, which has overcome the disadvantages of the existing formworks. Furthermore, the author presents the design and fabrication of the new formworks, as well as the fullbreadth casting of the invert with the new formworks.
Key words: high speed railway, tunnel, invert, new arcshaped composite steel formwork
