Abstract:
Deformation controlling technologies for tunnels in China and abroad, especially in Japan, are systematically summarized on basis of the basic deformation rules of tunnels with soft surrounding rock. The technologies include advance support technology (advance displacement controlling technology), tunnel face reinforcement technology (tunnel face extrusion displacement controlling technology), arch feet reinforcement technology (arch feet settlement controlling technology) and countermeasures to strengthen the primary reinforcement.
Key words: soft surrounding rock, tunnel, deformation, deformation control, advance displacement, extrusion displacement, allowable deformation value, advance support, tunnel face reinforcement, arch feet reinforcement, primary support
