Analysis on Uplift and Dislocation of Segment in Tunnel Bored by Large diameter Slurry Shield in Waterrich Soft Ground

Abstract:

The causes for the uplift and regular dislocation of segments are analyzed, countermeasures are taken and design optimizations are made. In the end, the segment dislocation caused by segment uplift has been brought under effective control. Advises are made on the modes of shearing between segment rings, on the importance of the forcetransferring cushion and on the rigidity of the water stopping ties. The paper can provide references for the construction of shield bored tunnels and the design of segments in the future.
