Abstract:
The construction schedule is greatly affected due to the jamming of the doubleshield TBM in the construction of the water diversion tunnel in unfavorable geology conditions. The causes for 3 common types of jamming of doubleshield TBM in the construction of the water diversion tunnel of DatongheHuangshuihe Water Transfer Project in unfavorable geology conditions are summarized and analyzed, 5 types of jam releasing technologies are proposed and countermeasures are adviced to prevent jamming of doubleshield TBMs. In the end, the jamming has been successfully released, due to the application of these technologies.
