A Comparison of Planning among Long Highway Tunnel: GuanyinGufeng Tunnel, Qinling Zhongnanshan Tunnel and KanEtsu Tunnel

Abstract: This article discusses about the content comparison of three long tunnel construction plan. For future facilities planning of long highway tunnel cited that reference: The priority section of Taiwan No. 9 Su-Hua Highway Mountainous road section improvement project, Hoping Steam Elevated Bridge works has started in January 2011, in which the Guanyin section is 7.8 km long, Gufeng section is 4.7 km long. These long tunnels facilities are set up with the highest standard. It is in a hurry to do preliminary design, detailed design. Full line is expected to open to traffic in 2017. Zhongnanshan Qinling tunnel, the world's longest highway twintube tunnel with 18.04 km length, is a twintube, onedirection and twolane tunnel. The works started in March 2002, has been officially opened in January 2007. The KanEtsu tunnel is the world's tenth longest tunnel is a highway tunnel in Japan. It is twintube, onedirection, twolane, route Northward in 11.055 km length, route Southward in 10.926 km length, opened on October 1991. Set within sprinkler system which is not used in the tunnel in most countries, electric dust removal machine, and a combination of vertical shaft ventilation flow mode. The tunnel prohibits vehicles with dangerous goods.
