Abstract: Due to the huge earthquake affect Taiwan on September 21, 1999, since designed and built ShinjoLuzhou line, every new line of Taipei MRT (Mass Rapid Transportations) has to install a structure seismic monitoring. The purpose includes enhancing the operation safety, recording the seismic data, and designing feedback. This article introduces the site effect of Taipei Basin and the situation of seismic observation. A detail description about the structure and function of this new seismic monitoring system including the station seismic monitoring system, integration system and database at CCR, communication interface, data format, offline data processing, and user interface are given. In the end, a detail description about application, including design feedback, structure safety analysis, operation safety analysis of Taipei MRT, system ID, and vibration monitoring are given.
