Abstract

Abstract: The characteristics of the foam generating system of EPB shield manufactured by Japanese companies and European companies are summarized. A new foam generating system is developed. The successful application of the foam generating system on an EPB shield shows that the foam generating system developed can meet the requirements of tunneling in complex geology and it has many advantages.
