Abstract: The thicknesses of the concrete waterstopping wall and antishearing wall of Xiangshan tunnel are 7 m and 5 m respectively. Countermeasures, including reserving protection layer, drilling vibrationreducing hole, nonblasting pilot heading, strict control of the charging quantity of each interval and rational blasting parameter design, are taken in order to demolish the waterstopping wall and the antishearing wall and to ensure the safety of the lining. In the end, good result has been achieved.
