Application of Energysaving and Consumptionreducing Technologies in Sinking of Deep and Largediameter Ventilation Shafts

Abstract: The ventilation shafts of Donggongshan tunnel on NingdeWuyishan highway are located in national beauty spot and there is a largescale reservoir near the ventilation shafts. There are strict environmental requirements for the sinking of the ventilation shafts. Energysaving and consumptionreducing technologies, including guiding hole drilling, enlarging excavation, lining and asymmetric separation wall installing by means of slip formwork, are used. In the end, the influence on the environment is minimized, the construction duration is shortened by 50%, the labor intensity is reduced by 60%, and the consumption of the energy materials is reduced by 60%. Good economic, social and environmental benefits have been achieved.
