Abstract:

In the paper, the test devices, test methods and evaluation criteria for the watertightness and pumpability of shield tail sealing grease at home and abroad are reviewed. Proper test device, test method and evaluation criteria for the watertightness and pumpability of shield tail sealing grease are recommended on basis of the results of researches on the formulation and property of shield tail sealing grease made by China Railway Fifth Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd., as well as on basis of the conditions of the application of shield tail sealing grease in China. The paper can provide reference for the establishment of China’s national standard for shield tail sealing grease.
