Abstract:

In this paper, we focus on the influence of different deformation joint spacings on tunnels under the condition of fault movement. We establish a model of faultcrossing tunnel by means of finite element software ABAQUS. We analyze the surrounding rock pressure, the maximum axial stress and the development of plastic strain of the tunnel with different deformation joint spacings. The results show that the more the deformation joints, the smaller the maximum axial stress is and the larger the maximum plastic strain is; The influence of the fault movement mainly focuses on the tunnel in the left area of the fault zone, and the stress and plastic strain at the arch waist and spring line of the tunnel are distinctive.
