Abstract:

In this paper, the mode of Metro system, target speed value, rolling stock selection, train consist, comfort degree, aerodynamic effect, civil works design, turnout selection and power supply system of express Metro lines at 120 km/h speed are studied, with No. 3 Line of Guangzhou Metro and Express Metro Line R2 of Dongguan as examples. Furthermore, the shortcomings of Code for Metro Design is discussed. 
