Field Experimental Study on Mechanics of Segment Structure of  Slender West Lake Shieldbored Tunnel in Yangzhou

Abstract:

Field tracking tests are carried out to measure the load and internal force of the segment lining structure of shieldbored tunnels during and after the tunnel construction, with the Slender West Lake Shieldbored Tunnel as the engineering background, so as to discuss the influences of simultaneous grouting on the mechanic characteristics of segment lining structure. The study shows that: 1) the variation of the load and internal forces of the segment lining structure can be obtained comprehensively and accurately by the field experiment method described in this paper; 2) in general, the load on the lining structure reduces as the time goes on before it gradually becomes stable; 3) because of the grouting effect, the load on the lining structure during the construction stage is larger than that in the stable state; 4) the internal force of the lining structure is not stable in the grouting stage, and the grouting has great effect on the axial force of the lining structure. 
