Study and Application of Algorithm of Available Safety Evacuation Time in Long Subsea Metro Tunnel

Abstract:

In order to rationally determine the available safe evacuation time (ASET) for personnel in long metro tunnel in case of fire, the main factors affecting the safe evacuation of personnel are analyzed according to the characteristics of fire evacuation of long metro tunnel, and the algorithm of ASET in long metro tunnel in case of fire, i.e. multifactor combined method (MCM), is proposed; the algorithm is applied to a long subsea metro tunnel under construction in China. The study results show that the MCM can effectively determine the ASET in long metro tunnel in case of fire, which is convenient and rapid in calculation. The results are rational and feasible, and can provide reference for similar projects.
