Construction Technologies of Open TBM in Deepburied Rockburst Section with Soft and Hard Alternant Strata

Abstract:

In order to solve the problem of rockburst in TBM construction process, the characteristics of rockburst during TBM boring in soft and hard alternant strata of Himalayan region are studied and analyzed. Some rockburst avoidance tests have been carried out during construction, and a complete set of targeted construction method for rockburst mitigation is summarized. The methods include: (1) normalization of rockburst inspection, (2) combination of advance geological prediction and advanced treatment, (3) rationalization of supporting materials and supporting methods, and (4) dynamic adjustment of tunneling parameters. The methods applied to the following construction have achieved good effect. The results can provide reference for safe construction of TBM in similar strata in the future.
