Abstract: The scientific selection of submarine channel crossing Bohai Strait is introduced, the concept of submarine vacuum tube of high-speed railway is put forward, and its advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. And then the plane route direction and longitudinal cross-section model of the 4 possible routes, A, B, C and D, between Yantai and Dalian are established according to the sea conditions and topographical and geological characteristics of the Bohai Strait. Finally, the following conclusions are drawn through the study of the comparison among route schemes: (1) It is more economical and ideal to lay submarine viaduct, immersed pipe or subsea shallow burial, which is superior to subsea tunnel. (2) The total length of line A is about 110 km, passing through the deepest sea area of 88 m; more than 50% of the line needs to be built according to the vacuum tube mode of the submarine tunnel. (3) The length of line B is about 106 km, the seabed is gentle, and the deepest point is 67 m. (4) The length of line C is about 134 km, the deepest point is 66 m, and the natural longitudinal slope is small. (5) The length of line D is about 173 km and the deepest point is 51 m. It is suggested that line B and line C should be discussed and considered as the key schemes for submarine vacuum tube of high-speed railway.
