Investigation and Discussion on Key Design Technology of Assembled Corrugated Steel for Utility Tunnel Structure

Abstract: The corrugated steel utility tunnel has the advantages of excellent mechanical performance, short construction period, low cost and good environmental protection performance. In order to deeply understand the structural bearing mechanism, failure characteristics and the key design methods such as assembly technology, crosssection type of standardized structure and soil reinforcement methods, the application of corrugated steel utility tunnel structure in drainage ditch, underground passage and overpass engineering in highway and railway engineering in US, Canada, Australia, etc. is introduced. And then the application of corrugated steel utility tunnel, standard compilation, technical characteristics and design and construction method out of China are analyzed, and the key factors including load calculation, strength calculation, design flowchart and methods of corrugated steel pipe are analyzed in detail. Based on the development needs of corrugated steel utility tunnel construction technology in China, the problems and development trend of corrugated steel utility tunnel construction are discussed from the aspects of construction environment, structural crosssection form, assembly, reinforcement of retaining soil and minimum embedded depth, and the research suggestions on key technologies of corrugated steel utility tunnels are put forward.
