Abstract: In this study, to reduce or even prevent geological hazards, such as surrounding rock collapse, water inrush, and mud outburst during TBM tunneling, a comprehensive advanced geological prediction system based on TBMcarried rockbreaking seismic source and induced polarization is evaluated to accurately locate the adverse geology position ahead of the tunnel face. Thus, dynamic construction management methods are put forward to perform the advanced treatment of adverse geology and effectively prevent the occurrence of geological disasters. The engineering practice demonstrates that the proposed comprehensive advanced prediction system can effectively detect the adverse geology ahead of the tunnel face, and the dynamic construction management can successfully reduce or even prevent adverse geological disasters, ensuring a safe and highefficient TBM tunneling.
