Experimental Study on Performance of Abrasive Jet Cutting Pile Reinforcement

Abstract: To explore the control parameters of the effective assistant obstacle breaking by abrasive jet and determine the parameter combination of highefficient obstacle breaking, an experimental study is conducted on abrasive jet cutting pile reinforcement under the postmixed conditions of a large target distance of more than 5 cm, high traverse speed of more than 3 m/min, and repeating cutting based on an abrasive jet equipped on the shield. The effective parameters of the abrasive jet cutting pile reinforcement are determined. Additionally, the influence of control parameters on cutting efficiency is investigated based on jet energy consumption. The results show that the critical pump pressure for steel failure is approximately 150 MPa, and the optimal target distance for volume cutting efficiency is 5~10 cm. Compared with the first five cuts, the depth cutting efficiency is reduced by approximately 42.5% when cut 20 times, and the volume cutting efficiency drops by approximately 12.14%.
