Abstract:  Shield construction produces a large amount of muck. The traditional landfill method will waste land resources and pollute the environment. Therefore, the shield muck must be treated by environmental protection methods such as separation, dehydration, and recycling. If there is no proper parameter matching among subsystems or equipments in the process, it will cause problems such as pond siltation, pipeline blockage, equipment damage, and hydrocyclone failure, and the system cannot work stably for a long time. In order to solve the above problems, based on the EPB shield muck environmental protection treatment process of a construction section of Shenzhen metro line 14, the fluid technology in the process is analyzed, and a method to match the fluid parameters of the EPB shield muck environmental protection treatment systemis put forward by theoretical calculations and empirical calculations, then the method is opplied to the design and component selection of the project. The operation shows that the fluid system matched by this method can operate stably for a long time, resulting in good separation and dewatering effect of the muck, balanced fluid, and water recycling. The method of matching fluid parameters proposed is not only applicable to this process, but also applicable to most of the muck treatment processes. Different projects can be matched according to the treatment capacity and the specific composition of muck.
