Abstract: To optimize functional use and spatial accessibility for metroled underground space (MUS) planning, the Qingdao MUS is taken as an example, and an accessibility evaluation index system is developed based on multiple sourced data, for example, point of interests and open street maps. The space syntax and criterion importance are integrated through an intercriteria correlation algorithm to quantitatively measure the comprehensive accessibility of the MUS. On the basis of the nodeplace model and accessibility measurement results, the imbalanced use of the units of Qingdao MUS are effectively identified, as corresponding planning of the optimizing principle and strategies are explained according to unit categories with distinct aboveground building development intensity, underground space development intensity, and local transportation conditions.
