Abstract:

Fa’er tunnel on ShuiPan highway in Guizhou province is a tunnel with coal and gas outburst risks, which faces risk factors such as coal and gas outburst, gas explosion and poor stability of rock mass in tunnel construction. In order to ensure the safety during the tunnel construction, a series of countermeasures normally taken in the coal mining industry are introduced to the highway tunnel construction. A program to prevent coal and gas outburst is designed according to the principle of “regional measures in advance, local measures to supplement and the priority given to regional measures”. In the end, the tunneling has passed through the coal seams safely, a series of outburst prevention technologies suitable for highway tunnels have been established and good social and economic significance has been achieved. The paper can provide reference for similar projects in the future.
