Abstract:

Segment erection quality is one of the important factors that directly affect the quality of the completed tunnel. In the construction of Line 1 of Shijiazhuang Metro, typical defects such as segment damage and segment dislocation occur. In the paper, the causes for the defects of the segment erection are analyzed, and the following countermeasures are taken: 1) Wedge rings are used to adjust the attitude of the shield and the sudden change of the shield attitude is avoided; 2) The thrust force of the thrust cylinders is adjusted, and wedge pads are installed between the segments so as to achieve flat end surface of the segment ring. In the end, the quality of the segment erection has been brought under effective control.
