Discussion on Lining Quality Inspection Method and New Technology of SichuanTibet Railway Tunnel in Construction Period

Abstract: Sichuan-Tibet railway tunnel has the characters of severe construction conditions, long construction period and high structure quality requirements. In order to improve the lining detection efficiency and accuracy of SichuanTibet railway tunnel, the main hidden dangers of lining quality and detecting technique problems are analyzed, and the principles of advanced maturity, early intervention, stage development and information management are proposed from the perspective of technology and management. Combing the tunnel lining inspection projects in China and abroad, the inspection list and methods for SichuanTibet railway tunnel, i.e., lining strength, thickness, water seepage, cracks, frost damage and structural displacement, are put forward. Based on the new lining quality inspection technologies in recent years, it is clear that the quality inspection method of SichuanTibet railway tunnel should be guided by mechanization, intelligence, and integration, and then corresponding suggestions are given.
