Development and Application of Intelligent Grease Monitoring Device for Shield Based on Phase Laser Sensor

Abstract:  In order to solve the problems of large consumption and high cost of HBW, EP2 and shield tail sealing grease during shield boring process, and the poor stability and low accuracy of the existing measuring devices, an intelligent monitoring system for shield grease is developed. The phase laser sensor is used to measure the height change of oil drum, and calculate the amount of grease according to the height difference and the weight of standard drum. Then, the state of shield machine is read through OPC protocol, and the consumption of various kinds of grease in the unit ring is counted and saved in database. Finally, the remote acquisition and storage of field data is realized based on the shield machine/TBM big data center. The system has been tested and applied at engineering site, and achieved good application results: (1) With high measurement efficiency, the measuring device can realize continuous realtime measurement of the oil tank balance, and the measurement data can be stored locally and read remotely; (2) With high measurement accuracy, the error can be controlled within 0.01 kg/ring; (3) The realtime measurement results can assist in judging the operating status of shield machine, and also facilitate cost analysis and control; (4) The system is connected shield machine/TBM big data platform, which is convenient for personnel inside and outside the site to grasp the construction status in real time.
