Abstract:

Sulfureted hydrogen is a toxic gas. If tunnels have to cross sulfureted hydrogen contained ground, the health and safety of the tunneling workers and the operation safety of the tunnels will be threatened. Based on the construction experience of Yufengshan tunnel in sulfureted hydrogen contained ground, the authors present the general information of this kind of ground, the characteristics of sulfureted hydrogen, the sulfureted hydrogen treatment principle and the waste water treatment method. The authors place their emphasis on the presentation of the technical construction measures in detail, including strengthening the ventilation, prereleasing the gas by drilling boreholes in advance, sealing off the gas by grouting and automatic detecting and alarming. This paper can provide reference for the construction of tunnels in sulfureted hydrogen contained ground in the future.
