Abstract:

The connected aisle between two metro tunnels plays an important role in disaster prevention, draining water and contacting. The artificial ground freezing method has been used to build the connected aisle, and the design, construction technologies and quality control of this method has become a matter of concern. The critical technologies of the artificial ground freezing method in the construction of a connected aisle in Shanghai metro is presented in this paper.
