Abstract:
The FORMOSA O5/R10 Transfer station, where the KMRT primary routes (the Red and the Orange Lines) meet, is built by 140meter diameter and 27.05m in depth which constructing technology is the hardest of all MRTstations. O5/R10 station used a lot of new constructing methods, for example, circle diaphragm wall by EMX、NEFMAC method (New Fiber Composite Material for Reinforcing Concrete) etc. But those new constructing methods bring the risk and difficulty for construction. Beside, the architecture treatment and special form of entrance designed by wellknown Japanese architect Takamatsu, and the public art in concourse “The Dome of Light” designed by Italian glass art precursor Narcissus Quagliata will highlight the station inspire the passengers.
