Abstract:

According to the fire incidents in the past years and the international researches, the HRR will grow to 200MW within 10 minute and the scenario will be a great menace to human life and tunnel structure if tanker fire occurs in road tunnels. Therefore, if tank trucks are permitted to enter a road tunnel, establishing disaster prevention and rescue system will be an urgent and serious subject. The hazard analysis of tanker fire in tunnels is still proceeding and the research results on the rescue operation are lacked. Hence, the research puts international research results in order and takes Guanyinshan tunnel as an example to simulate the tanker fire scenario by FDS, review the capability of the rescue teams on the spot and find the tanker fire scenario and the factor of hazard. Finally some advices are recommended for emergency units to execute efficient rescue activities.
